 What does it mean to be a steward of the Earth?

A steward of the Earth is someone who enjoys caring for the planet in the same way as they would their child or pet. Many people are progressively harming the Earth with pollution and other things like deforestation, as the poem suggests when saying “our potentially catastrophic consequences”, and our future descendants will need to be stewards of the Earth. Earth stewards should assist and protect the planet. Pollution may be everywhere in a few years, and we'll all have to be Earth stewards. The future is uncertain, but it's good to take care of your beloved Earth.
