Journey to the Fireside
When there is space for creativity, the mind opens. I am no longer bound. The mind freed somewhere along the way. Bountiful opportunities for peace happen when the words flow openly. We can wonder how the world works, but really, love binds humanity. It is the glue we need to repair wounds. It is the place of creating new ideas. It can be interpreted a million ways, with a million words, a million melodies. And it simply unifies as one moment. We relieve suffering by covering the suffering with love. We grow fewer boundaries when we see each other as sisters, brothers. I get angry at my sisters and brothers sometimes. I hate the warring. It is so sad to see people losing their lives. I know battles will be fought, but one day I hope there will be a warrior of love that speaks billions of tongues to talk to the billions of souls. Warriors of Love. That’s what we’ll be. We’ll take comfort in each other and spread messages of peace far and wide. We will follow in the footsteps of the many who went before us, preaching equality and kindness of spirit. We will listen to the wounded and heal them through talking, caring and understanding. We will be healing wounds that fester into hatred. Love warriors are not new. They are bound to humanity hundreds of thousands years back. They shared firelight and food. They taught each other the movement of the sun, moon and stars. They protected children together. They continually strove for building community. We marched toward progress by accepting our differences as nothing to fear, but to embrace. We used our gifts to learn to accept each other no matter what. We built nations and cultures that grew from having a plethora of opinions and ideas to better make the world. But we stand as our foremothers stood before us, to guide everyone to the fireside, out of the dark. There are dreams and there are realities. In my mind, they are one. Our dreams become reality when we work for the greater good. I wish peace and prosperity for all and I wish that we all could find strength in each other and see our enemies as sisters and brothers. In the end, they are our sisters and brothers. Let us guide each other to the fireside.
