Why am I not writing? My heart hurts for Gaza's children.
And I refuse to pretend that apartheid anywhere is acceptable. Since speaking on the subject labels me anti-Semite, why don't I just listen. I've been sad about this to the point I'm speechless. I'll be a Jimmy Carter-loving outsider any day. I'm tired of the hypocrisy. Peace means nothing to me right now as long as this country I love and support decides to wholeheartedly, unequivocally, unilaterally, and quite ridiculously love and support apartheid. I don't have hope. 2009 is so much worse than a bad economy. As nothing is done with Mugabe and nothing is done for Palestine....then I really have nothing to say right now. I just really wish people would listen to really intelligent world leaders trying to do the right thing, and hoping America will do the same. Intelligent thing to do: have a heart for children suffering and dying needlessly. Their voices aren't heard much, but they are there, if you listen.
Yes to all. People are too afraid to say these things. Perhaps a change will come...
